[THE SET-UP: Daiki and Tsukasa are having a halfway decent text conversation that is one half trying to be polite, the other half of trying to be snarky. Tsukasa mentions his 'To-Do List' and sea cucumber, and now Daiki has decided to bug him. Will things go as normal or will they actually have a normal-ish conversation? Stay tuned...]
[He was sitting in front of a cake, his phone in one hand and a fork in the other as he poked at the design in the frosting. Just because he wasn't allowed to pick up the cake himself did not mean that the cake did not come to him. It was a lovely piece too; all swirled white frosting and fresh fruit shaped like the Rider symbols of the Riders Worlds he had been to. There was even a DaiShocker symbol, but Tsukasa did eat that one. No way was he letting it stay there like a really bad memory or something.]

Rounding the entrance way, the Rider could see Tsukasa briefly in the distance before his vision was obscured by a towel. He made a face against the gruff fabric, but started to rub at his damp hair. "Afraid of a little water?" he asked, not feeling in the mood to thank the other man. "I'll try not to get you wet." Moving into the middle of the room, Daiki leaned over and plucked the DiEnd symbol off the cake, popping it into his mouth. "Where is everyone?"

He would mention that maybe Daiki should get changed before he got a cold, but that would showed he cared far too much. Instead he made a slight face before shrugging and plucking the strawberry Decade symbol off the cake. He looked at it for a few moments and then ate it slowly, giving himself time to answer Daiki's question.
"Yuusuke and Natsumikan went out for supplies and the old man is somewhere. Last time I saw him, he was saying something about some kind of special program."
So long as the old man was staying away from beer and squid, Tsukasa didn't care what he was doing. He was just a presence in the background that sometimes showed up with a fresh cup of coffee or a complaint about a picture. It was the other side of him that made Tsukasa worry.

Watching Decade eat more of the cake, Daiki helped himself to the Kuuga symbol while he was at it. He was sure Yusuke wouldn't mind. "A special program?" That made the brunette frown. It wasn't like old man Hikari to leave the studio for long periods of time - especially with only Tsukasa to man it. Still, there was only so much that could go wrong in their current world, it having not fallen into chaos... yet.
"And you decided to man the fort and guard the cake? How admirable," he teased. It was like the other to weasel out of work where he could, but that didn't mean Daiki wouldn't draw attention to it.

As for that past, well, some nights it kept him awake, trying to tease bits and pieces of his memories from out of the haze that surrounded it. He was not a nice person then, but he felt that he should at least recall to prevent falling back to that path. After all, it was too easy to get into that pattern he had found recently.
"On the tv." He waved a hand at the closed door in which an occasional shout from the old man could be heard. "Some kind of idol group or something."
That was a scary thought but everyone had to have their hobbies. Even if the old man was not exactly the age group idols were geared for. Tsukasa frowned at Daiki stealing the Kuuga symbol and plucked Kivaara's symbol off next.
"Technically it is suppose to be in the fridge right now." He looked at Daiki, his attention just on him, a slight smile appearing. "I thought you were here to talk about my To Do List and not cake."

"Because nothing puts more jump in an old man's step than watching young women synchronize dance," he chuckled, going back to his locks. He had noticed by then, that picking at the cake was bugging Tsukasa. So naturally he went for the Kiva symbol next. "There's nothing stopping us from talking about both. Besides, a cake is meant to be shared." His smirk was playful as he dried off his pants enough to sit down. "Though I am interested in this bucket list." 'And glad I at least made it onto it...'

At least he tired waiting for them, right?
"I wouldn't put it past the Cake Boss to have more than one for us anyways," he said, and studied the remaining symbols. "What's there interesting about it? I wrote up a list of things that I wanted try before someone decides to kill me."

"So it's just in an efforts to beat out the clock, than?" he asked, a twinkle in his eye as he ate the other half of the W. "I guess I should be honored that I even made your list. I hope 'take a decent picture' is at the top, though," he smirked, putting a spin on the comment to make it lighter. Naturally Tsukasa hadn't remembered anything else. He didn't know why his hopes had risen again. It was always like this. Always.

"The only way I'm going to do that is if I go back to my world," he said, grumbling it a little. He could, after all, he did have his sister to think about, but that was just not in the cards right now. Tsukasa didn't feel like going back and having those memories come back into his mind. Some were pleasant, but there were more that lead him down to think of should haves and could haves and DaiShocker, and he was not ready to deal with those parts. He didn't think he would ever be ready for them.
"Why so much interest in what I may have planned? You just want to make sure I haven't forgotten anything about you?"

"Hmm?" Kaito was opened his eyes at Tsukasa's sudden silence, realizing that the other had actually directed a question at him. Slowly, he processed the last few sentences. "More like to see if you've forgotten anything else, or remembered anything - but I guess in the end you'll stay the same regardless." He ignored the first question, the truth hitting slightly closer to home than he was willing to share with the other Rider.
